Topology, fermionic zero modes and flavor singlet correlators in finite temperature QCD
We compute the screening correlators in the σ and η flavor singlet channels in finite temperature QCD with 2 light quark flavors. Together with the correlators in the ~π and ~δ channels, these are used to discuss several issues related to symmetry restoration and the nature of the QCD phase transition. Our calculations span a range of temperature extending from approximately 125 MeV to 170 MeV ...
متن کاملAxial U(1) symmetry in the chiral symmetric phase of 2-flavor QCD at finite temperature
We discuss the fate of the axial U(1) symmetry in 2-flavor QCD at finite temperature, where the non-singlet chiral symmetry is restored. We first summarize the previous theoretical investigation on the relation between the eigenvalue density of the Dirac operator and the axial U(1) symmetry. We show that the eigenvalue density near the origin behaves as λ γ with γ > 2 in the chirally symmetric ...
متن کاملFinite temperature phase transition of two-flavor QCD with an improved Wilson quark action
We study the phase structure of QCD at finite temperatures with two flavors of dynamical quarks on a lattice with the size N3 s ×Nt = 163×4, using a renormalization group improved gauge action and a clover improved Wilson quark action. The simulations are made along the lines of constant physics determined in terms of mPS/mV at zero-temperature. We show prelimnary results for the spatial string...
متن کاملSimulations of one-flavor QCD at finite temperature by RHMC
We simulate one-flavor QCD with standard Wilson fermions at finite temperature by the rational hybrid Monte Carlo algorithm. In the heavy quark region when we decrease the quark mass there is an endpoint which terminates the first order phase transition. We try to locate it by calculating the Binder cumulant of the Polyakov loop norm. We estimate the end-point to be κ c ∼ 0.07 − 0.08.
متن کاملThermodynamics of two-flavor lattice QCD with an improved Wilson quark action at non-zero temperature and density
We report the current status of our systematic studies of the QCD thermodynamics by lattice QCD simulations with two flavors of improved Wilson quarks. We evaluate the critical temperature of two flavor QCD in the chiral limit at zero chemical potential and show the preliminary result. Also we discuss fluctuations at none-zero temperature and density by calculating the quark number and isospin ...
